Why I started coaching

i have a big passion for building and designing plans for others that would help them achieve the results they’re after. i use to always try help my mates by making them plans and nutrition plans to follow, and i enjoyed being in the gym and coaching and helping them with correct form and pushing them to failure. It took me a few years to realise i could do it for a living but in 2022 i made the decision to start coaching.

my aim with coaching is to help you look and feel the best you ever have. training and health isn’t just physical its mental and I want to help improve both the best I can.

I don’t ask much of my clients. all I do ask is that you give 100% commitment by completing all your training, following the diet/nutrition plan and checking in regularly. also that you trust the process, for some of you the results you’re after may take some time but as long as you trust what i’ve planned for you, then we’ll achieve them results.

Online Coaching

Online coaching is an initial contracted 12 week program. Using the Trainerize Personal Training app, I'll create a personalised program for you to follow that'll include workouts with video demonstrations of exercises, rep targets, set targets. Daily targets such as steps, water consumption, sleep etc and set cardio if required for you. the training plan will follow whatever style of training you prefer whether that is bodybuilding, hybrid training or strength training. We’ll work together to build a plan you’ll enjoy and be successful with.

Also you’ll be added to a group chat in the app where you can chat to others who are either just starting like you or those who have been with me for a while who can tell you what to expect and what they’ve achieved since being with me. in the group chat i want to build a team, a community of like minded individuals all on a mission to achieve their fitness goals and its an opportunity for everyone to motivate, push each other and share each others achievements.

As well as having the app for training programmes, we'll calculate Calorie targets and macro targets which you can track using the myfitnesspal app which you can link to my app so I can view your daily tracking. in the group chat you’ll also have informational pdfs to download and read through to help improve your knowledge and understanding on training. one of the pdf’s you’ll be sent when you first sign up is the starter pack, in this starter pack is a small introduction to online coaching, it explains what’s expected of you each week etc, there’s also a list of equipment you may find helpful with your training and a list of training terms to get familiar with and a brief explanation of each one.

At the end of the starter pack there’s a list of questions. these are your check in questions, you’ll be required to answer these every check in. your answer to these questions is what will help me understand better how your weeks been, what went well, what didn’t and why it didn’t. the more information i get from you in a check in the easier it is for me to set tasks to help you get back on track and to be able to make adjustments to the plan if needed. it also helps me see what works for you so if you’ve had a good check in and a good week then i know what you respond well too, the only bad check in is no check in or one with minimal information.

Weekly Check-ins will also require Weigh-ins and photos so we can see if any changes need making to the diet/nutrition plan or the training plan itself if it looks like certain body parts are lacking etc. We’ll be assessing visual progress as well as scale progress as its good to notice the changes in both. Once a Check-in has been sent, i will send back a response with plan moving forward which will be sent out either the same day or the following day, depending how many i have to go through. check ins must be completed first thing the morning.

4 week FREE training plan

the 4 week training plan is ideal for anyone new to the gym or anyone currently training but without a plan to follow.

the training plan is tailored more to a bodybuilding training style, there will be 5 workouts planned each week with a weekly catch up/check in with me and the opportunity to message me and ask any questions you have about training. there will also be some simple pdf’s for you to download and use to your advantage when you finish the 4 week plan.

to participate in this plan your preferred training style does not have to be bodybuilding. the plan set to simply to show you the basics of a training plan, how to set plan one and how to execute certain exercises.

once you complete the 4 week plan, if you then decide to continue onto full online coaching then we will be able to make a more personalised plan for you, using the the training style you prefer most or feel would be the most successful for you.

“At the end of my 6 week challenge at Enzone I started my 1-2-1 sessions twice a week with Adam in December 2022. End of February I decided that I was getting more comfortable with training so carried on training on my own with Adam as my online coach. Have to say he is always there when you need something whether it’s from the workouts or your nutrition. He has set so many different workouts out for me so we can find what works out best. The new machines arrived at Enzone in September Adam got me straight on them and then I started 1-2-1s again with Adam so I could get the best form on these machines and I have to say I Love the pump after 1-2-1 he will push me till the last rep there is always ONE MORE Rep. “I first started with the Enzone 6 week challenge back in December 2022. Right after that I knew I’d only just begun and wanted to progress.

I started right after with Adam doing two 1-2-1 sessions a week, along with classes. Adam gave me so much confidence and technique in my training, I actually started to enjoy the process. “Early 2023 I made a decision to get my health and fitness back on track since moving back to Anglesey.

Adam was the trainer who held most of my classes and after plucking up the courage to speak to him at the end of the class i enquired about his availability to take on a rather old and chubby new client with not much body confidence left.

“well here we are. 1 year consistent training to achieve my first stage of this 2 year goal, which was to strip off body fat, gain some strength and improve body confidence.

i found a trainer who understood exactly whati wanted to achieve long term and to date we have conquered phase 1 together. a huge amount of gratitude for Adam for sticking with me through the ups and downs, both physical and mental as he has made damn sure each session was a push forward even when i wasn’t feeling it, especially towards the end when i was very very tired. we made huge progress in the first few months with my first ever cut and we were about to begin the bulking phase, when i broke my ankle which put us back a good 3 months. did we stop training? hell no. during this time i still showed up and trained what i could with Adam’s knowledge and guidance we kept on track. fast forward to last week when the day of reckoning came we were both super excited and nervous at the same time as this was my first professional photoshoot. we met with mel (imagesbymelparry) and we discussed how the shoot will progress and we all shared ideas to create the desired outcome. as you can clearly see from these photos it’s clear we absolutely smashed it way more than i ever thought possible. the hardest part to get my head around was looking this great but feeling so small as i had worked off over 2 stone, 28lbs or almost 13kg, with a massive decrease in body fat sitting at a respectable 16%. not everyone knows this, but i’ve been a vegan for a number of years so to find a trainer who supported me from day one with my ethical choices means so much and not once did he insult me or try to change my diet which to me, meant so much. so the message i’m saying here is you don’t need to eat steak everyday to transform your body. nutrition comes in all forms. thanks for reading this post and following this part of my journey”
